There are 103 full-time abiding agents of whom 33 are professionally able librarians. These are supplemented by a added 80 arrangement agents The Library provides leadership, and appointment space, for the Irish Virtual Library and Archive Activity 14, the aim of which is to accommodate a researcher-oriented web interface to the digitised agreeable of abstracted repositories in UCD Library15, UCD Archives16, and the UCD School of Irish, Celtic, Studies, Irish Folklore and Linguistics17. This is a five-year activity (2004–2009) adjourned through the Programme for Research in Third-Level Institutions beneath the advocacy of the UCD Humanities Institute of Ireland 18.
